Multiple basketball recruiting Web sites reported Wednesday that the GW men's basketball team has landed its first verbal commitment for the 2009-10 season.
Kinley Branch, a senior at Stone Mountain High School in Stone Mountain, Ga., has committed to play for the Colonials next year, according to rivals.com and scout.com. ESPN's basketball recruiting and a FOX Sports blog also reported the commitment.
Branch, according to Rivals, is a 6-foot-5 power forward and weighs 205 pounds. Calls to Stone Mountain High School Wednesday afternoon were not returned.
