I understand that it's not easy to re-invent the car chase. I mean, it's all pretty self-explanatory. But Mini Coopers? My God, this was just sad - souped up Minis scooting around to save the day.

At the Movies

"Big Fish" may be the strangest, most dazzlingly whimsical, downright gorgeous film of the year. Director Tim Burton returns to form with a quirky, delightfully impossible fable about Ed Bloom (Albert Finney), a dying old man who has spun his life into an elaborate tall tale.

The Bar Belle

After a rather uneventful break in "Sin City" (a.k.a. Las Vegas), I was excited for a triumphant return to D.C. nightlife. As tiresome as it may be at times, the odds are usually in your favor to have a good time. Sometimes a trip to a new bar is better than getting a royal flush.
